Why is this a blogue?

  • Why is this a blogue, not a blog? It’s just an old-fashioned touch that harkens back to less-hurried (and harried) times, when a letter took a while to get delivered, and a reply took a while longer. When books were savored for their precious rarity. When news came in slowly for the most part and could be thoughtfully considered. A rapid-fire flow of constant info-junk tends to make me twitchy. When you visit my blogue, I invite you to take a nice deep breath, absorb things a little at a time, wander in a serendipitous fashion, and generally remember that even in the ultra-speedy world of the Internet, you control the pace of your life.

Thank you Lunaea, for putting this so clearly. I'll add my prayers to yours for clarity and openess for all to hear the truth.

I have been thinking about this alot. Ever since I first read it and had some initial responses that I would not write because well they were very negative. It almost was the same as the AA "let be and let god." Having been spiritually abused by Christians, I run away as fast as I can. Yet, the image of Jesus and Bridget talking was wonderfully comforting and a 'what if' scenario developed which also let my animosity fade away. Thanks. Rhondda

Rhondda, I'm glad you came back and added a comment! I know there are lots of people who have been damaged by religion. I am fortunate to not be one of them, so I can take most religions as a good thing, with some bad apples who abuse the essentially good teachings of that faith and corrupt them to their own warped interpretations. I don't believe in passively handing over my will, but I do believe that when I am having trouble finding inner peace and healing, it is helpful to "offer it up" to Goddess and ask for strength and guidance. That was the meaning of my blogue post here -- that my "offering up" might meet on some higher plane with the higher self of the people I am having trouble with, and that it could only help everyone in the long run if the better angels of our natures were running the show! Blessings to you.

Tarot Card of the Week

  • Moon

When the planet turns its face toward the dark, our nocturnal nature draws us out into the realm of Moon. This is a dominion of dreams that we explore with our senses fully awake. The subconscious spills into consciousness, allowing us to see what is not revealed by sight alone. Strange sounds come to our ears, intoxicating perfumes reach our noses, things appear that only emerge in darkness. We creep softly, following our moonshadows over the colorless world.
