Hey, I'm still here! Oh, all the thoughts and dreams and wild ideas that have been buzzing through my mind lately, most of which are far too fleeting to commit to bloggery, alas. But since I got back from BATS last month, one thing that has been at the forefront in a big way is tarot.
I've always loved the tarot, but you know how sometimes an old love can suddenly flame up and capture your fancy in a new way? Tarot and I go back to about 1970, about the time I got my first deck of cards, bought on a whim from a department store, of all places, when I was a young mall-rat and fledgling mystic. I've never lost my fascination with tarot in all the decades since. Making my own deck in the mid-1990s was a time of sweet divination immersion for the year or so it took to make the 78 collages by hand. I love diving head-first into a passionate project. The process is so much more rewarding than the result (though that can be rewarding too). When the Goddess of Creativity (Brigid, in my case) lights that fire in the mind and the heart, when inspiration keeps me dashing to the notebook or the index cards or the computer to capture another piece of the emerging creation -- ahhh! There's really nothing more fun. Add some study and research to the mix, and you have one very happy little Virgo. And that's where I've been at lately, working up some ideas for a new tarot project that isn't ready for unveiling (and may not be for months). It may happen, it may not, it may happen in a completely unexpected way that I can't see yet, but whatever happens, I'm having fun NOW. And isn't that what really counts?
I'd like to share some of the sparkly tarot fun with you, too. I've decided that in addition to doing full tarot readings using my own deck, I want to offer smaller 3-card readings -- either as a one-time reading or as a subscription plan where you can receive a 3-card reading every month. Each of these readings will answer three questions you have or look at three areas of concern for you. We'll have a little email confab to decide what we want to ask the tarot, then in sacred space I will draw the cards from actual physical decks that I own. I'll write up the reading for you and send you a link to a private web page with your reading and pictures of the cards so you can let the images speak to you as well. You'll have a choice of several decks for your reading, and if you subscribe to the monthly readings, one of the things we'll decide each month (along with your questions) is which deck you'd like. Or you can just let me use my intuition!

I'm sending bright autumn blessings to you all -- may the Goddess of Creativity touch your soul with inspiration!

A bright and blossoming April to you all! As this is the month of the Fool, that magical journeying being who is the very spirit and essence of the tarot, I'm offering an April tarot special: a choice of two five-card readings, the Fool's Compass (a look in all directions to see where you are) and the Fool's Progress (a look down the road to see where you are going). Each five-card reading is $45, or both for $80. Click
