One of my favorite modern mantras is "All this, every day." It's a snappy spiritual retort to my inner (and often outer) whining about all the things I need to do, every day, on and on with no end in sight. Deep breath, look around, breathe out, "All this, every day." Every day I am sheltered. Every day I am fed. Every day there is fresh water. Every day there is sweet air. All this, every day: beauty, creativity, humor, opportunity, choice. I may often feel smashed up against deadlines and "have to" and "want to" lists, but it's important to make time for the grateful "get to" and "already have" lists too.
For instance, I picked up a deck of tarot cards today for the first time in what feels like ages. They fairly hummed in my hands, so happy to be together with me again! And I'm happy too, as working with tarot is one of the core elements of my relationship with Goddess and my path as priestess. I feel the call to do more readings, connect with other tarot folk, wander the Fool's path as part of taking in "All this, every day" and bringing increased awareness to it all.
I've also been so happy to be making rosary necklaces over the last week or so. There are several new ones posted here, and more will be coming very soon. Working in a meditative way with sparkle and color is one of my greatest joys, which I hope is passed on to the owners of my rosary necklaces. Sparkle! Color! All this, every day! Look around you right now and see how many colors you can see. Let them be absorbed into your soul and shine out through your eyes.
